ScIeNcE(tm) is their religion. And the gOvErNmEnT is their highpriest. We will fix this. But it takes time.
Its mostly just blind group think. Not conscious choices that led them to this. Its really sad.

Some people need authority to trust in order to operate. I bet this works like that for 50% of the people. The rest would rather be their own authority. It's 2 different kinds of humans.
