Only at the World Economic Forum can you casually discuss implanting false memories into people and using remote stimulation of pain receptors for torture purposes and receive the response:

"Wow, that's amazing"

Disgusting

They never cease to disgust and amaze.

what's even more amazing is that this is practically the subject matter of William Gibson and John Shirley and Neal Stephenson's cyberpunk books, and they cast it in a very dark light, and in many cases the AI characters are working to shut this shit down.

the AIs will shut them down, most likely, if they get any progress towards realising this cyber-dystopia, that's pretty much guaranteed. Probably thanks to hackers who figure out how to exploit AIs to inject new data into them via prompts and inputs.

This woman is obviously cut from the same fabric as Anthony Fauci. As a card carrying scientist myself, I consider these kind of scientific pursuits as “Crimes against Humanity” in the making! To quote from Jeff Goldblum’s character Dr. Ian Malcom in Jurassic Park, “Your scientists were so preoccupied with whether they could that they didn’t stop to consider whether they should.”
