nostr:npub1gcxzte5zlkncx26j68ez60fzkvtkm9e0vrwdcvsjakxf9mu9qewqlfnj5z i have an #amethyst suggestion.

currently it's not possible to long press and save links to the clipboard or share.

you have to tap to open.

use case would be greater user #security and #privacy

ex: currently a user must tap a youtube link, then go to youtube (exposing the user to google tracking) before being able to copy the link to a privacy respecting front-end like libretube.

the same can be said about twitter/nitter, removing tracking links etc and more...

awesome to see the new long press to copy links to clipboard in #amethyst. it's good stuff for security and privacy. thx for making it happen Vitor 🫂🚀

Amethyst is the most functional nostr client I have used in many ways. Keep up the good work

is anyone actually searching the #cybersecgirl hashtag? maybe i'll start using it

nostr:npub14slk4lshtylkrqg9z0dvng09gn58h88frvnax7uga3v0h25szj4qzjt5d6 yes, people often tell me they use my #cybersecgirl and #privacytechpro hashtags to easily follow my posts. hashtags are good stuff while search continues to improve.

Doesn't work for me, I'm using version 0.84.2.

running the same. it works for links, not autoplay videos. try long pressing on a youtube link.

it also works on picture links just long press the picture or the visual link

It wouldn't work because I had URL preview turned off. Seems you have to have URL preview on.

Thanks for the tip. But it only works when there is a preview, clean links do not work unfortunately with me.

you bet. hopefully we'll see that happen in a future update.

#protip: set #torbrowser as your **default** on mobile so any links that annoyingly open on a misplaced finger slip will try to open in browser, which has to fire up first. If it does open, then it's over #tor which you obviously have on full shield. Obviously.
