I don’t think WoS supports submarine swaps.

I think you would need to send your sats via lightning to Muun wallet and from there to your cold storage. Muun supports submarine swaps between on-chain and Lightning.

I may very well be wrong about WoS not supporting this.

This is correct! I use Muun to go between lightning and on-chain 🫡

😘

So I can send to Muun lighting address then from there can send to BTC address?

Yep!

Yep. The interface is pretty simple too. Just make sure at the top you have selected the right network that you are trying to send to.

no you're correct

blixt, phoenix and muun only use submarine swaps

issa ok i heard many say the fees are not ok

Yes, I heard that recently that given the mempool congestion swaping fees are steep.

What’s a submarine swap?

The technical term used for those on-chain to Linghtning (and viceversa) operations.

Let’s say you send your sats from WoS to Muun. Muun will receive them as a lightning transaction. Now, if you send those sats to an on-chain address, a swap needs to happen so those stas sent via Lightning can be sent to your cold storage address.

That swap is called a submarine swap.

Hope that explanation helped clarify this black magic.

I’m still learning these things.

I really appreciate it! I am going to do exactly what you said using muun

Cool!

Please let us know how steep fees are when you do it. I’m curious.
