Ok, serious question: What does Amethyst do better than all the other Nostr clients? #asknostr

I've noticed, that it always shows the right numbers. The right follower counts (every other client, except nostr.band, fails here), the right amount of zaps of an article (long form post). Yakihonne is out here, it has recently lost every trace of old zaps. Notifying me about all likes and comments. I discover comments on notes that I haven't seen in web clients like Primal or Yakihonne. Generally, Damus and Primal miss many notifications. Not so Amethyst.

All my clients run with the same set of relays.

So, what is Amethyst's secret ingredient?

from signing in with NIP-55 to enabling TOR from the get go to choosing your relays and defining a private relay

Yes, that's definitely an advantage. But does it explain the better numbers?

the numbers are not an easy task, you can't get an accurate number unless you have a massive server centralized and you are counting non stop, which is not efficient and against the ethos of decentralization. Amethyst for new accounts and small follow does a decent job, but once your follow increase and if your account is aging is more challenging

I believe that among the clients the most centralized is Primal (I personally stay away from it, censoring relays and seems to be very accurate at counting follows even for old accounts), no good opsec , that is already a no no for anyone that is here for the Nostr ethos
