Sauna yes, cold plunge at night no.

Cold shock causes a spike in neuropephrine/adrenaline. Much better for use in the morning.

Sleep can not be viewed as an on/off switch around the time you want to fall asleep. It is a rythym over the full 24 hours. The wake response is even more critical to creating good sleep.
