Does it have multiple meanings in Swedish? When I google translate from Swedish -> Spanish, I get Mullvad -> Lunar. Lunar in Spanish typically means “of or pertaining to the moon”, but is less commonly used to say “mole” or a skin lesion. I ask because you’re a native speaker and Google Translate sucks, sometimes.

No. Mullvad is the little mammal that lives under ground. Not a skin lesion or something about the moon.

Mull is an old word signifying dirt, earth and “vada” is like “wading”. I don’t know if this is the correct etymology of the word but you could imagine that it kind of “wades” in the dirt🤷
