This says nothing about the homes in question. As in, how would this play out over time? Do existing homes still outlast new homes? How well do these different models play out over time?

This is the national average. In a lot of states home builders over built so now its a fire sale. Used homes there is low inventories because everyone who got a cheap mortgage is never selling or holding off the longest they can.
