I read a prepper tip saying to keep canned dog food in your car. It will keep you alive and you won't be tempted to eat it in non-emergencies.

I prefer sardines or canned mackerel myself.

i would just add that dry cat food actually doesn't taste too bad, possibly may last longer

only thing is, it's not very salty, so you gotta stash salt too, but because it's all dry and no metal container, that's a big win in weight and bulk

yeah, i don't get cats

they love the meats

but you give them this junk and they eat it

i found, when i was in bulgaria, that they started putting TVP instead of meat

the cats would just lick the gravy and refuse to eat the solids, and ilooked at them, i know TVP, i grew up SDA, i know TVP

anyway, yes, the dry food is actually literally better... because it's not soy

We've got cats too, so in a bug out situation pet food would be good to have on hand.
