that's what I mean. No matter how its walked over, its still walked over and need to be re-done. the stupid walk part and pretending it makes a difference it what I mean is retarded

it's a form of apology, so it's not retarded, sometimes people just pop through the door not realising someone was mopping, notice the wet floor... this is also why they have those "wet floor" signs, to try and prewarn people so they don't do it, or if they can, take another path where they were going
i actually worked as a contract cleaner and occasionally i had to deal with this... mopping the floor was a fairly time intensive part of my job, almost always the last thing, so there's lots of reasons why it's impolite to not make a gesture of apology in some way
Its acting like a fool for no reason. I do it almost every night at work. Im speaking from my daily experience. Its retarded, yet I still do it.
Trust me I get what you are saying, and I agree. But this is how I feel when I do it. It really is just silly. A verbal apology would do same without the circus show
ok, you really have never done a serious amount of cleaning work, i'll just leave it at that
I work in a restaurant. I said I do this every day. And its stupid. Yet I still do it.
right, so you understand that mopping the floor is usually the last thing before you clock out... the time of the day you least want extra work
Yea but that's completely missing the point. Whether a person does a silly walk over the mopped area or just walks thru it, it still needs to be mopped again. The silly walk does nothing except look silly.
