If AI becomes ASI (its not guaranteed, the current architectures will not get there), but if it does, then money will not become meaningless, the things we use it for will just change. Instead of "stuff" we will purchase honour, prestige, valour etc - human qualities that at the moment are not meaningfully fungible.
