This is why we have to make things easy 😉
Hard doesn’t scale.
Our entire way of life is predicated on things made easier for us. nostr:note1z9ewqg7uphwzm7szldd0fqthzvpndkc0azy76twuc5wnazvnf46s7qffrn

So many facets of modern life reinforces the concept of high-time preference - from the Internet and telecommunications, to widely available food items and entertainment.
Zoomers, and to a lesser extent, Millennials, espouse anti-natalist viewpoints in favor of being able to "buy the bulk snacks they want from Costco". yet, in the next breath claim to be depressed and incapable of happiness.
We've been led to believe that comfort is happiness, that easy is preferred, that doing the hard things is wasteful.
Identitarianism has become pervasive and and intersectionality coveted. The current aura of modern culture is a race to the bottom in what can only be called Victim Olympics.
The answer to most, if not all, of these modern problems is to endeavor to labor in a project full of Proof of Work.
Proof of Work gives satisfaction by seeing the results of applied labor. Raising a child is Proof of Work. Eating healthy is Proof of Work. Creating, be it a family, art, work, a business, is Proof of Work.
My Proof of Work is my family. The resulting satisfaction and sense of purpose are incomparable. Better yet is the hope my children represent - the hope of a better tomorrow, a better future. This is the reason my ceramics studio is called Proof of Work Pottery.
Your current way of life is only possible by those that came before you and made it easier to live like this. Running water, functional services, refrigeration, fruits in the winter … literally everything was made easier for you to enjoy. This very app too.
Easy has a place in life, and probably bigger place than most give it credit. Easy can result in innovation by thinking before doing. The same with procrastination when you put off tough things for last it forces you to be creative. Not saying we should avoid hard things but we should also not dismiss easy.
