it seems youtube fixed the bug that was making it stutter. but not before claiming a few days ago that my 400 mbit connection was too slow as being the reason for the stuttering.

reality is with any semi-modern hardware it is always the software that makes things slow. hardware is never the issue these days.

i wish it wasn't true because i have degree in computer ( hardware ) engineering but it's a somewhat irrelevant field now as all hardware is so good.

but software is as bad as ever, and will always be. it's not the fault of nostr:npub1ye5ptcxfyyxl5vjvdjar2ua3f0hynkjzpx552mu5snj3qmx5pzjscpknpr or nostr:npub180cvv07tjdrrgpa0j7j7tmnyl2yr6yr7l8j4s3evf6u64th6gkwsyjh6w6 it's just the nature of the beast.

my new PC that has 56 threads and 64 GB of ram isn't any faster than my older PC that has 16 threads and 32 GB ram because hardware simply doesn't matter anymore. if something lags or stutters it's the software.

don't be like YouTube guys. don't blame the victim. if your software is slow it is on you.

that said noStrudel works ACCEPTABLY now, though with YouTube getting fixed it now again becomes the slowest social media platform for me ( YouTube at its lowest point was slower ).

only other software that is as slow as noStrudel that i have is Adobe Photoshop though actually with Photoshop i did see a SIGNIFICANT improvement in performance after upgrading from 16 to 32 GB ram. but again, that is just evidence that Photoshop is poorly coded if opening an image in Photoshop takes as much time as booting Windows does.
