Bitcoin is not a currency. Money is the lifeblood of our environment / civilization. If you are running your body on junky processed food (or civilization on fiat) you can cut back on toxic social medias as much as you want but your life will be miserable. I’m not saying it’s impossible to live a good life eating junky fiat food, I’m saying it’s not very productive and we should put „the most pressure” to solve problems where it makes the most sense. Bitcoin strikes in the very center of most problems, but I understand that you do not see it that way. That’s fine. Anyways, good luck to you. Cheers.

And just like that, I was unfollowed by this new follower/pleb for saying Bitcoin doesn't fix everything - proving my exact point about identity and attachment. Bitcoin is a powerful tool, but like any tool, it's what we choose to do with it that creates value. The tool itself isn't the solution - our mindful choices and actions are.

I haven’t ever said that Bitcoin fixes everything, it fixes „only” half of the problems in the world. Saying is a tool is not very accurate imo. Money is same thing as dopamine for our body, is it a tool? Hmm , sort of. Can you use it however you want? You can tune it, but it’s no longer only a tool if it affects you regardless if you want to use it or not. Tool can be put on a shelf, dopamine and money - not.
