It's somewhat annoying for sure, but at least it's costing them something.
I don’t find it annoying at all. I hope I get 100M of these ads. 😂
Maybe there's a strategy to make a pile of money on getting advertisers to send more to you as targeted advertising... I'm thinking back to the 90s with the Million Dollar Homepage where some person created a 1000×1000 pixel grid, with each pixel linkable to an external webpage and then sold each pixel for $1.
