Elders like Tsainama Marubo, 73, observe a decline in traditional activities and increasing cultural division.

To preserve their heritage, tribal leaders now restrict internet use, but concerns remain about the impact on the tribe's customs and the potential loss of oral histories.

I would imagine it's a sort of technological culture shock that made them advance too quickly without many of the steps in between. Even in the west the rate of technology is too quick for most to retain their standard of mental health.

That said, it's an interesting topic, because these people should also have access to the Internet, but at the same time, if it's causing such an upheaval, who can say what the right move is for these places, maybe a more gradual approach. I dunno.

"who can say what the right move is" Well they can. They are adults. With that said, it'd be a dick move to lead them to believe it's all benefit without advising on the tradeoffs.
