Building a protocol that references bitcoin but is not bitcoin. It is merely enforced by participants running the "correct" software.

Cashu/fedimint?
Cashu/fedimint are the same as the degen runes in this context. They're not bitcoin. But they reference bitcoin. One is teaching UTXO management and fees and bitcoin script. The other is teaching signatures and finance. All on bitcoin. It's beautiful.
