Need help. My Futurebit is synced. But now what lol. I have Ubuntu and it’s running a full node. What can I do with it on this interface.

I am a Linux noob.

Any resources to learn how to utilize a node running on a dedicated machine would be helpful.

I am kinda dumb.

You connect to it from your wallet Software like Sparrow or Lightning, your own mempool.. any bitcoin app that needs a node

Been using Linux for 20+ years, but I have no idea what Futurebit or a node are.

Get mempool running and watch it for an hour or so.

BTC sessions has great tutorials running nodes. I use umbrel with my node and it’s great

Thanks πŸ™ for asking so I can learn from you too! πŸ€™

Get sparrow, arm version. And you can link it up with your node and use it for your hardware wallet. They say theyll integrate lightning eventually but i think its never gonna happen unfortunately.

I struggled hard with futurebit to use it for other things like wallets and other bitcoin interfaces like mempool and lightning. it was brutal and i simply didnt have the technical ability to make it work...tons of hours in the command line. Also...not sure if they fixed this yet but i couldnt update the software due to the deficiencies of the OS as the mining would break if you updated...meaning the software is open to security vulnerabilities.

I eventually opted to just run a standard apollo + embassy OS... Best of luck as i love the concept, utilize their bitcointalk forum to troubleshoot.
