It's open source, it's doable. That said, I don't believe nostr:npub1gcxzte5zlkncx26j68ez60fzkvtkm9e0vrwdcvsjakxf9mu9qewqlfnj5z is intentionally censoring people. It's most likely an over aggressive spam prevention method. Let's talk to Vitor about this. 🫂

I have previously asked vitor about this. There seems to be two things going on. One is a spam filter, the other is an autoblock feature which works separately. It works of 5 or more people you follow block someone, (but it also may or may not be also up to vitor's discretion, too? Not sure).

Two things:

- Auto-spam when the app sees 5+ of the same message from the same account, with the same tags in a short period of time (classic spam).

- "Show Anyway" button, that asks for confirmation to view when 5+ of the people you follow REPORTED (not only blocked) someone or a note. For reported people, the reports last for a day, for individual notes it lasts forever. If you follow the reported person, messages appear as normal.

The code is open source. Anyone can see for themselves.

For me anyway, the gripe is it being forced on me, I don't want to have people blocked for me. And I don't want to have to follow people just to unblock them. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

🐸 talk nest on right now regarding this topic. Hop on if you’d like to share some thoughts 🫶🙂

Cheers, but blasting out some jazz 😉

Was trying to make sense of the accusation that what “vitor reports himself” is censored… and this is clearly because they follow vitor. 😂

Just my two sats, maybe base trustees of a list or alternatively create a way to subscribe to profiles if you believe the main contact list should only be used for endorsement.

but mostly it’s nice to make sense of that poorly articulated accusation.
