Sorry for the delay on the response, and for my ignorance explained below.

I just wanted to make sure before I answered you.

I'm using vanilla Debian, and I was ignorant enought to think that the kernel was being updated with no reboot. It turns out this is not true, according to Debian documentation.

After 100+ days of running, I rebooted the system, and issued a "uname -a" command before and after.

The kernel version was the same before and after, so I believe that there were no kernel upgrades in the meantime, since the system is updated daily using "dist-upgrade".
