well... guess I got his attention? 🫥

Your comment didn’t come off as insulting to me. I think it’s important for adoption that we fix the things that people point to when they say Nostr is broken.

Wow, umm... sorry?

This is literally the first time you've acknowledged there being a problem with these systems. So that's good, that's progress!

I would (respectfully) again suggest that perhaps Mostr be shut down until it can be fixed, because (as I've demonstrated upthread) it really presents a sort of deceptive view to less-technical users that 2-way communication is possible just like any other npub, when really this doesn't seem to be the case.

Also, maybe have it hosted somewhere else than Gitlab, which requires paid subscriptions to submit issues?

Do you realize that the bridge is under constant attack from people who want it to be taken down? It's an endless cat and mouse game. I have many other priorities. Sometimes I have more important things to do than making sure 2 failing social media protocols can insult each other online. Then you come in and say "take it down". Fuck you. You're exactly the same.

"2 failing social media protocols" wow... hard to square that with the guy in that 2023 Youtube.

I mean, I'll be the first to admit that I don't know what's going on behind the scenes. Maybe you should write about it, so people understand?

Taking it down is a drastic option, but of course there are other solutions... Perhaps some brief updates to the documentation? Some kind of "work in progress, experiencing issues" pinned post on nostr:nprofile1qy88wumn8ghj7mn0wvhxcmmv9uq3vamnwvaz7tmjv4kxz7fwd4hhxarj9ec82c30qythwumn8ghj7un9d3shjtnswf5k6ctv9ehx2ap0qy2hwumn8ghj7un9d3shjtnyv9kh2uewd9hj7qgewaehxw309aex2mrp0yh8xmn0wf6zuum0vd5kzmp0qqsxhcu0333a7ldlsndha39xumammrgemj3mnq8045v9shzx7p9jd7guesmtu ? Any way of indicating "open issues", for that matter?

I'm just trying to create a situation where people know that "hey this Mic might not be on"....

FWIW I've had some great interactions across the Momostr bridge (and, rarely when it works, Mostr).

It's magical to have two completely separate social media protocols be able to talk to one another. It'd be a shame if we lost that.

Alright I fixed it doofus

Wow, cool! So, I'm curious, what was the issue?

FWIW I really dig the origin vision of Mostr that you outlined on the stage back in 2023... As legacy social media platforms continue to decay from both their own enshittification and external government pressures, we have an opportunity to unite the entire "decentralized" social media ecosystem using this kind of interoperability.

You're right, you don't owe me or anyone else anything. But I think the responsible thing to do is to "sunset" projects that aren't being maintained, aren't working, or both.
