This is the risk of running a custodial walker. You should never leave more sats on there than you are willing to lose.

Yeah I obviously didn’t know that. Now I do. Why would I use one at all? I’d rather not lose anything.

How do I know when something is a custodial wallet?

If you don’t hold the keys then it’s custodial.

Is Coinbase custodial? What about Bitkey?

Coinbase is custodial until you withdraw to a non custodial wallet. Bitkey is not custodial.

I use a custodial wallet but I don’t have a significant amount of sats on it
