If it's just after a difficulty adjustment and we loose 25-50% of hash power suddenly it's blocks every 20min instead.

Been thinking about this attack for a bit

Yeah, but we survived the China ban pretty soundly. Not saying it’d be the same but I know it’s survivable.

Hashrate could theoretically drop to near 0 and it would correct itself, would just take a little while until difficulty adjusted
