I truly grieve for your ancestors’ pain 🫂

As for God being incomprehensible… it’s not exactly that Christians disagree entirely, but that we believe that Jesus’ birth and life as a human being is (partly) God’s move towards us to make Himself more comprehensible — comprehensible enough for us to learn from and imitate, comprehensible enough for some of us to have seen and touched and been served and healed by.

We call him the Word of God. We call the Bible that, too. I’d say that in a similar way, the Bible is also there to make God more comprehensible.

Ours is a God who loves us so much He moves towards us and even dwells inside us as the Holy Spirit. He may be incomprehensible in full, but still delights in being known and loved as we can.
