Zapstore is already protecting users from simple sybil scams which is the most problematic with any freedom tech app accessing delicate information.
Censorship would be evident, apps are not like shitposts that just vanish in the ether, creators care about them and make a ruckus if they cannot publish, and users notice very fast thanks to nostr.
Even more so if there is a person with a decent follow-base trying to scam ppl publishing a "malicious app" on behalf of someone else. Cmon man, that's very unlikely even if they hate each other, there is an incentive not to wreck your entire reputation on this.
Anyway, relay management is a good addition and enables extra verification, but I understand it was not the primary feature, and we always knew it was coming because it was built in the open all along.
