I disagree about the training. They are literally trained to shoot to kill in certain situations. A knee to detain someone is not outrageous.

With Floyd, going outside your training and providing aid sooner woukd have been the correct measure. He was a career criminal, likely known in the area, and Chauvin likely didn't believe he was really dying (since it wasn't due to excessive force but instead fent OD).

Ultimately it's easy to play Monday quarterback but who knows what we would really do in that situation. All I know is a black man is over 50 times more likely to be killed by another black man then a cop in America. Let's focus on that.
