First of all, I like that it's all open and with permissive licenses but I have questions ...
I see only renderings of the device but it's up for sale with no mention of "pre-order". When would it ship to Chile?
Is there a "shopping list" or list of parts needed to build this? I'm mainly interested in the chips used.
How is physical security? Is there some longer discussion on that somewhere?
In terms of hands-on account I would be most curious to see how this device works in every day payment situations. The NFC coil would not only power the chip but also the display and button (or is that a fingerprint scanner?) I would be skeptical about the speed to make a transaction and imagine it would be fiddely to keep the device in range of the cellphone's NFC at all time.
