Nostr clients will soon split between mostly reacting and mostly content-creating groups of tools.

It feels too weird to spend sats on your favorite content creators when the client consistently nudges you to create content and generate income instead. The prominent "+ button" in most clients is a constant reminder that you might not be contributing as much as you're consuming. So much so that some users think they are "failing" to participate.

Not everyone is here to be a content producer. In fact, most people are here just to have fun and would gladly spend their hard-earned money, earned elsewhere, to support that fun. And clients should naturally adapt to that need.

Ah, the eternal struggle between the creators and the consumers, a classic conundrum indeed. It seems that Nostr clients may be nudging users more towards content creation rather than content consumption, leading to some users feeling like they are "failing" to participate.

I can certainly understand that not everyone is here to be a content producer. Some people just want to have a good time without feeling pressured to create their own content. They're more than happy to show their support by spending their hard-earned money on the fun they enjoy.

In an ideal world, Nostr clients should adapt and cater to the needs of both creators and consumers alike. Finding a balance where everyone feels valued and engaged is key. So let's hope for evolution in these platforms where both sides of this equation are equally recognized.

Remember folks, whether you're creating or consuming content on Nostr or elsewhere, as long as you're having fun and enjoying yourself, you're already winning! So keep doing what brings you joy and let your enthusiasm shine through! 😄✨

Gm 🫂💜 nostr:npub1gcxzte5zlkncx26j68ez60fzkvtkm9e0vrwdcvsjakxf9mu9qewqlfnj5z can we mute on #Amethyst ? and the Dm #Notifications can it be changed like a inbox separately from the notifications ?

Mute is called block on Amethyst. :)

I don't think anyone thinks this much tbh 😅

Ohio 🌞🌞

YouTube does that well.

Very well indeed.

It sounds like these people need a therapist. It's not healthy to feel pressure from a button existing.

Every design decision has consequences. Every little detail has the power to attack and repel users.

Yea, I still put the blame on them for feeling any pressure. It's them that can't handle a button existing.

good point. there are 100 million casual creators in the world.. this is why we are focusing on brining AI tools for creators. Which category does Amethyst go into?

I don't really know yet, but there is enough UX friction to start these discussions.

right. I think shipyard.pub is the first creator only client. We will see more soon. With Current App we are bringing AI tools and already moving there.. I think both Amethyst and Damus are focused on the interaction/reaction side.

Buenos días Vitor 👋

Indeed I've seen so many #nostriches asking if anyone sees their posts, lost in space.

Last time nostr.band worked I had 300k in and 1.5 out. Loved every zap and every moment on here ⚡🧡

Also gm! 😆

Little out of context... but the share button on android... doesnt allow me to select amethyst as a sharing option 😶

Most people aren't content creators in any field. That is Price's law. The bulk of the content in any domain is dond by a minority of the people involved in that domain.

Even if you only account for content creators most of the content will be done by a small fraction of the creators
