Any suggestion about an open source (web)analytics platform with a good API interface? I don't need any UI to navigate the data, just save them using a standard client-side js approach and read them serverside via API.

Ive been useing matomo for a couple years now. Its solid but can consume a fair bit of server resources if your tracking a lot of sites.

I have not used plausable.

I need to track about 500K/month pageviews with custom segmentation.

Can you give me an idea of the resources needed, based on your experience?

I looked at their docs and they say that a single server should be ok up to a million page views daily with a minimum of 4 CPU, 8 GB RAM, 250GB SSD. Im not really doing anything with the API and have a few users that login via the front end.

I dont see why a server with around those specs shouldn't be able to handle it.

I might have misspoken when I said it was taking to much resources. The server my instance is running on is a little over taxed with everything i have running on it. 😅 im well under 100k page views a day.
