thank you for the input.
i'm new here and i do not yet know if it is or not. i'm curious to know from long term subscribers if it has been or if it is a means of showing support for devs and the ecosystem and that is why most subscribe?

You shouldn't have to pay for nostr to work better than it does
Devs are too focused on shitcoin grifting to develop nostr at a better pace
it's a little bit of both. most here understand that nothing is free and if a service doesn't have ads and doesn't make you the product, then they're going to need to make money somehow. many support devs with subscriptions, but most of these tools offered are valuable and useful.
