I hear you and you have some valid points. NONE of us want a CBDC but isn't the whole point of Bitcoin to negate that eventuality?
Discussion
Done properly, Bitcoin will ensure sovereignty for the early adopters. But it won’t prevent CBDC roll-out. The State ‘gave us’ Bitcoin to facilitate/ease the transition from physical to digital.
Sadly, I mostly agree with what you're saying. I think you're wrong in thinking that Bitcoin was/is a government invention though. "They" will just cause a financial crisis/meltdown of such proportions and then say that CBDC's are the only way forward. I hope I'm wrong though! Either way, whether you're an early adopter or not, it won't really make any difference because no matter how much BTC you have, unless there's hyperbitcoinisation/acceptance at POS, you'll have to convert to fiat and that would presumably mean converting to a CBDC, be it USD or GBP so we're all fuked anyway😕😂.
Let me start by saying that I don’t know for sure. I’m just using critical thinking to look beyond the moon-boy memes. Here’s a question: aside from SN, who would you say was THE next most important person in the development of Bitcoin (some say that he actually was SN)?
Well it's all conjecture isn't it? It's NOT Craig Wright😬😜. Who? Michael Saylor was SN? No chance😂. I've no idea tbh and I quite like the fact that we simply don't know. Hal Finney? Len Sassaman?
Yes, Hal Finney. Hal is the same name as the murderous AI computer in Stanley Kubrick’s epic ‘2001 A Space Odyssey’ movie. The name ‘HAL’ was a code; for each of the three letters go to the next one in the alphabet - what have you got?
So Mr&Mrs Finney in god knows what year thought "Hey Honey, I like the name Hal, shall we call him Hal? then 40 years from now he might invent some magic Internet money. Marjorie, WTF are you talking about? WTF is the Internet?? Oh nothing honey, it's just a vision I'm seeing. Have you took your Valium today Marjorie? I think you should take your Valium" I B M.
Behave yourself😂😂😂😂.
Did you know Hal Finney personally? Do you know anyone who knew him? Is Hal Finney a real person or simply a name in a story? Anyway, it makes no difference to me; just trying to stimulate thinking in this space. Peace brother✌️
They're using lightning at point of sale all over the place. People are using it here to send zaps, which are still worth less than a penny.
There are also services that convert for you at point of sale. So I can use a debit card to pay in dollars, but it gets deducted from my Bitcoin.
