So close to admitting defeat on setting up non-custodial zaps. At least until I run a clearnet node (which might solve some of the headaches). Lightning has custody problems. Not gonna lie.

What’s your criteria for self-custodial zaps?
The criteria is just having zaps that go straight to my node. Lol. Im using umbrel which is only publicly available thru tor (I don't think nostr is able to reach me because of that).. Even trying to use @fiatjaf's bridge and its not working. Will try LND configurations later instead of lnbits. It's becoming frustrating so I'm taking a break.
yeah i cant seem to connect alby to my node when its behind tor. i think im in the same boat. the other problem is apparently get LNDhub wallet is gonna be shut down soon, can i migrated my npub and nsec and nip05 from alby to another account/wallet/ etc?
LNDHub is FOSS, so you can still run your own implementation. It's just that Bluewallet isn't going to be offering their own instance of it in their app. And AFAIK, you should be able to export your nsec, and everything else to wherever you want. I'm following a guide on how to open up some services on my tor-only node to be able to access it from clearnet. It works, but I'm still having issues with LNURLp. I'm always willing to help bitcoiners so let me know if you want some help
looks like i have the alby wallet and im fine. but what im trying to figure out is how to find the LNURL for my lightning node? is it just the node ID?
It depends on your lightning implementation. LNURL is a plugin for the LNBits application. What kind of lightning node are you running?
