The SMSF part was all done within a week for me.
Transferring out of my existing fund was what took months. In hindsight I should have done a partial rollover first rather than a complete exit.

Going with someone who has experience in the asset class makes it easier. Most accountants & financial advisors know little about bitcoin.
Oh no don’t get me wrong, it’s a great site but I was just saying that some companies doesn’t make it easy on the normal public when they don’t know about this site.
Yeah - they're incentivised to make it difficult for you to exit. There's also relatively few Australians asking for it (but growing every year).
It's definitely easier than it seems in the surface.
Even the audits aren't that difficult.
