Strangely enough, their stocks app shows it though, hmm.

Yes just conversion not…

I imagine the reason it’s not in the calculator is because it’s not a static number. 2+2 will always be 4 but the price of bitcoin changes.

That would require the calculator app to have a connection to the internet which some people may find odd. Not to mention the drain on your battery from constantly pinging the server(which they don’t like).

Well how do the other conversions work? Change let’s say EUR to USD, and the calculator receives the actual rate from a web api… Same should be possible with BTC, some programmer just forgot to set it up correctly…

I don’t think that market is as volatile when converting currency. Just a thought.

The whole bitcoin drama is the government vs us, not us vs Apple. If apps are pulled from the App Store, I’d like to believe the apps were removed to avoid any trouble.

While the apps seem to be dwindling, there are still apps available that allow you to do everything involved in bitcoin, you just might need a few apps to accomplish it.

For example, the aqua wallet guys said they had to disable the bitcoin purchasing function because of Apple. The thing is, there are plenty of apps available that allow that very thing.

Some apps, I can’t access their exchange due to local and federal laws and some, we can.

I think it’s a cat and mouse game, Apple waits until the government points out an app that is in violation so they remove it. Until, they turn a blind eye.
