I have all the pieces to make a raspberry pi 5 work. SDcard is already flashed. Raspberry pi 5 itself arrives tomorrow. Late as fuck. I was one of the first ones to preorder it. But Germany those fucking Scheisse eaters, decided to hold on to my PI5 (probably for masterbation reasons) for a long long time.

The wait however is almost over. Double the IO speed, double the CPU speed, h.264 decoding dropped for CPU decoding but the new CPU can handle it. And it still has h.265 4k hardware decoding. Better 4k output, nvme support coming with new hat with the new PCI lanes.

They should have included AV1 decoding and probably replaced the micro USB ports with 1 USB C port imo. AV1 is free just needs engineering hours but this will work.
