Apple could have been ahead on Lightning.
They could have pushed a native wallet. Could have forced apps to use native wallet in their V4V zapping…..
They didn’t.
Not saying that’s the best route but their current policy is obsolete to all value 4 value services.
Apple is very clear on their intent with iPhone. They hold the master key. You can't even sideload apps. Buying into that is basically throwing your money away, and it's hard for me to feel bad about it.
Free / permissionaless payments violate their permissioned payments model - they draw massive revenues from app providers for the service of maintaining the App Store
Innovator’s dilemma is gonna bite them in the arse. Not today, not tomorrow. But it will.
