Outside of select few areas, no one is using it.

Oh shit, I thought this comment was to a different not. I apologise.

I don't live in ES but I was under the impression that every business had to accept it as legal tender. Hence my notion.

That is the idea of a legal tender law yeah, but as far as I know it was widely ignored, and the law being ignored was also widely ignored.
