Don't let the fire go out.
Someone told me that 'Tradition is just peer pressure from dead people.' I told them, Well, at least the dead people don't try to sell me crypto!

In a modern world that is obsessed with "new," "disruptive," and "innovative," we often look at tradition as baggage. We think it slows us down.
But tradition is not about being stuck in the past. It is about bringing the best parts of the past into the future.
When you sit down for a family meal without phones, or you revisit a specific place every year, or you practice a faith, you are fighting against entropy. You are creating order. You are building a shared identity.
As Gustav Mahler said, we aren't here to worship the ashes of what is gone. We are here to carry the torch (the fire) for those who are yet to come.
Dad's Rule for a Good Tradition:
It must connect people. (Solitary habits are routines; shared habits are traditions).
It must have meaning. (Know why you are doing it).
It must be consistent. (The power is in the repetition).
