From what I've observed on most technological platforms and protocols that promise, or even allow by design freedom of speech, two things occur:

• It betrays that mission as a result of those who made it backtracking from previously promised autonomy in regards to moderation (Ruqqus, Poal, Poast, etc.)

• The users (which commonly come from censored "platforms" like Twitter, Facebook, etc.) begin to demand censorship, and if not implemented by the demanded person begins to be done by pro-censorship voices and influencers.

If they haven't been driven off Nostr by now, expect another Onyx situation without the eventual capitulation to outrage from those who value freedom.

the self sovereign nature of #nostr via key signing will prevent a ruqqus, poal, poast etc

nostr is generally the right tech to support now, but we need to make sure it continues to remain true to that #selfsovereign decentralized nature, currently the biggest issue for that on nostr is most media is centralized and there is no general support in nostr for #decentralized media like hash addressing
