It took Ray Nelson (and purportedly with inspirational assistance and collaboration from Philip K. Dick) six pages of concept thinking in "Eight O'Clock in the Morning" (1963) to generate what John Carpenter would turn into the all-time great 80's cult classic, "They Live". I narrate.
