A neutron star merger event observed in 2017 produced an estimated 10 earths worth of gold. These are pretty rare though, so gold blocktimes are on the order of millions years… now thats proof of work!

When you say 10 earths… does that mean 10 x the amount of gold earth has, or 10 x earth’s mass in gold?
