If I were a nation state looking to acquire a large position in Bitcoin quietly, acting like you’re going full shitcoinery publicly might be the strategy. I can’t remember who said this a while back in reference to Peter Thiel in cycles past but seems like a good rule of thumb:

If they are talking up an asset publicly they are trying to offload their position.

If they are talking down an asset publicly they are trying to build their position.
