I was talking to a friend this evening over beers for a few hours and we came onto bitcoin eventually. I wish I had the conversation on video, but he got to the (paraphrased) metaphor as follows:

It's like our planet is deteriorating and cracking and you've seen that there is another planet which we can potentially go to, which could be a home for us, and other people see it too. The more you look into it, the more viable you think it is, and you're trying to tell us while trying to not sound crazy when most people are in denial that the planet is cracking at all...

I found this really beautiful to come from someone who doesn't fully understand what I'm saying but understands why I'm saying it.. I hope I can get him on our side, he'd be a force.
