My medical records are not connected with either my Google or Samsung Health accounts. Both apps show a clean slate for health data.

Yet, my Galaxy Watch's Medication widget thumbnail shows precisely the only medication I am currently taking. And it is not a common medication people would recognize to make a good thumbnail.

Your health data is being sold behind your back.

How these markets function and the technology that enables them is very interesting to me...

There is clearly a very high level of data indexing and I can't help but wonder how, if open sourced, that technology could be used for good.

It's a mess. During COVID, there were 26 different Maria Garcia's in a city at the border. Many with the same birth date. Systems all confused which one is which because there is no patient identifier numbers in the US.
