Meta's incompetence is becoming increasingly transparent.
In fact, it is a necessity for some. People who want to use it. I am really disturbed. Especially for 2 years, my life without Twitter has been very comfortable. This place is very special and beautiful. The people at Bluesky (on my list) are extremely weird. We have to go forward. This place provides that. Others imitate.
"Necessity" meaning addiction?
I'm proud to say that nostr is literally my first time using social media. I've been avoiding social media platforms (except for some educational YouTube channels) since they first arrived. It all just looked extremely toxic.
Great. 😍 I was living on Twitter. I was too addicted. And yes it is toxic. I had an Instagram account. But I wasn't using it. Then I used it a little bit. I can't stop writing on important events. But it's a quiet place. Let's travel, see, have fun. But it was not written. Only in the Story section. They were sharing photos. or video. People out there are happy with Threads. Actually, I don't see it as a new application. It's like an Instagram plugin. They write to the same people without a photo. That's why I said it's necessary for some. need. I use this as a diary. I share a few general things on other accounts.
Could you clarify a bit further, please? "They write to the same people without a photo". I just don't see how that makes it a necessity. Is it because if you delete Threads it automatically deletes your IG?
There were two ways to post on Instagram. 1- post 2- story. Post without photo is not sent. The story is deleted after 24 hours. There was no text on the page like this one without a photo. Threads is not a new application in my opinion. Instagram's plugin. If you close Threads, Instagram will also be closed. This was a necessity for those who only use Instagram. Also, influencers and celebrities would struggle with being recognized on the new platform. But Threads does not require such an effort. You continue with the same people.
I think Threads is a good thing for Instagram people. Namely, they will learn to write. There will be fights. Then they will begin to learn about freedom. As most of us found out on Twitter. But Meta won't give them that freedom. They will need the NOSTR world for more freedom :) Not in the short term. But in the long run, Threads will contribute to the world of NOSTR. According to me :)
