In the last few days I've tried to create 5 different online banking accounts because, you know, I'm in Germany now.

Two I couldn't complete because I'm missing the "TAX ID" not to confuse with your tax number. One I couldn't complete because my phone is too old for their app. One I couldn't complete because their app sucks at taking passport pictures. Finally Revolut worked but their LT IBAN was rejected by counterparties because it only has 20 instead of 24 characters (like German IBANs do). The last is a clear case of "IBAN discrimination" according to article 9 of the SEPA banking regulations.

Unfortunately I do need a monopoly money account but it's a stretch I can tell you that.
