Sincere question: If/when someone claims there's a good chance that #Bitcoin was created by the deep state/globalists and that they could eventually use it against us, what is your reply? How do Bitcoiners typically answer this question? #asknostr

1. The code is open, and no exploit has been found.
2. The consensus model would require involving a large number of people over a global geographic region in the deception.
3. Regulation and market manipulation are both risks present in every market (including bitcoin) but bitcoin eliminates several manipulation vectors (such as inflation).
4. If the government dumps a bunch of bitcoin it might cause a lull in bitcoin prices, which is likely to drive a bunch of purchases, and the price will stabilize. If anything, it might incentivize more people to get into bitcoin as it would present an opportunity for return on investment.
Thank you! This helps 🙏🏻
It's certainly possible. However, at this point it doesn''t really matter. It's a trustless, permissionless system. It's more decentralized and secure than any other protocol to date. In my mind, if it were a product of the state it was likely supposed to be for their own knowledge and wasn't supposed to be an open-sourced project. 🤷 Who knows though. The auditable nature does lend towards ideas of tracking payments, but that's not my main concern when it comes to Bitcoin. The ability to audit supply, decentralization, censorship resistance and permissionless nature are.
