NIP-57 allows users to gauge which pieces of their content users value over others. This is a huge advantage over other systems that don't have value for value built into it like Nostr.

As for disadvantages, it could be less private because you're displaying how much value or revenue you're making. Some clients allow you to not display the sending of Zaps. Maybe we'll need clients to add this but on the receiving end too. (For now, a creator could just use a non-compatible wallet.)
