My wife is an ICU nurse. I’m not exaggerating when I say I would bet that no less than 50% of her patients are:

1. So morbidly obese/unhealthy there is zero quality life after hospital.

2. Absolutely mentally fucking insane.

3. The most rude pieces of shit you can possibly imagine (I guess sort of fits in with #2).

Can you imagine how much money we spend as a country keeping these people alive? And for what?

I know this is not very Christ-like of me, and for that I’m truly sorry. But we are a nation teetering on the edge of desperation; financially and spiritually.

I just felt the need to post this and get feedback.
