i for one want a kitchen with no object within at least 1 foot of where my head would be as i lean over the bench, ie, it has to have no shelves more than 1 foot inset from the front edge of the benchtops

the number of time's i've hit my head on the corners of range hoods i have lost count, my forehead is a patina of dings from stupidly designed pointy corners
